Reducing our environmental impact with recyclable products.
Recycling is everyone's business.
To be effective, it requires three conditions:
Potential recyclability
Products designed to be more easily recyclable
Recycling channels
So that at the end of their life, the materials in our products are valorized
Good practices among consumers
Remember to put your products in the correct recycling channel
Our range of eco-designed products has therefore been created so that when products get
to the sorting centre they are as recyclable as possible, and therefore recycled as much as
possible when recycling channels exists.
We choose materials that are recyclable in current recycling systems where possible.
Our eco-designed products are potentially recyclable to at least 50% and on average beyond 80%
(as a percentage of the final mass of the product).
When designing our products, we make sure that as many parts as possible can be disassembled at the end of their life,
in order to be able to recover the different materials and allow them to be recycled more easily.
For small domestic appliances, find the collection and sorting centres closest to you!
For cookware products, recycling initiatives are organized regularly through our distribution networks.
Alternatively, you can drop them in your nearest collection and sorting centre.
Since 2012, Tefal has collected more than 1.2 million used pots and pans,
that's 400 tonnes of aluminium recovered and reused to make new products.
