ANDROID™ The application is designed to work with a large range of Android™ smartphones. The compatibility relies nevertheless on the brand, the model and the Android version of your device.
To be able to benefit from this application, your smartphone or tablet must be equipped with Android™ version 4.3 or above. Despite all of our efforts, certain smartphones or tablets (Android™ 4.3 or above) can nevertheless not be compatible.
An Internet connection is required only to download and update the application, and sign in to my account. An Internet connection is not needed to use the connected feature of your product. There is no need to move your product closer to the access point (Internet router).
If the connection between your appliance and smartphone/tablet is lost during a recipe, the two devices will be automatically synchronized as soon as the connection is re-established. You will be able to resume your recipe at the step you were on when the connection was lost.
If you wish, you can pair multiple devices as long as you only use one account on your app. To do so, pair each device independently. However, only one device can be connected at a time.
Place your appliance on a flat, stable surface. For the best connection between your appliance and smartphone/tablet, we recommend performing all operations requiring a connection at a sensible distance. If the connection is lost (connection symbol crossed out), move your device closer until the connection is re-established. If the connection indicator is lit (app or product), your devices are connected.
Another smartphone or tablet is already connected to your OptiGrill. Disconnect it by closing the App or clicking on the connexion icon at the top right-hand corner of the app. As soon as the OptiGrill's blue light blinks, you will be able to connect your device.
Your product will recognise your phone but you will have to resynchronise your mobile with your machine. To do this: 1. Turn on your device. 2. Press the "OptiGrill” symbol at the bottom of your app's menu bar to reconnect your product with the app.
1. Check that your phone's Bluetooth® is on. 2. For users of Apple tablet or smartphone, from iOS 13, also make sure that you have allowed the application to use Bluetooth, see your phone's settings. 3. Check that your phone has internet connection the first time you open the app to be able to create or login to your account. 4. Check that another phone isn't already synchronised to your product (the Bluetooth® logo on the screen is lit up). 5. In your app, try reconnecting your product and phone. You can do this by turning on your product and pressing the "OptiGrill” symbol at the bottom of your app's menu bar:
Please note: - Make sure your smartphone is compatible with the app by checking the compatibility list. - In the case of phones running Android 6.0 or higher, check in your phone settings that the location setting is on, as well as the Bluetooth (requirement imposed by Android).
First, try reconnecting the two after closing and reopening the app. Check that another phone isn't already connected to your machine (the Bluetooth® logo on the screen is lit up). If so, disconnect the other phone from your product by closing the app on said phone. In the case of Android phones, check in your phone settings that the location setting is on, as well as the Bluetooth (requirement imposed by Android). Switch your product off then on again. Move close to the product and try re-establishing the product/app connection by pressing the "OptiGrill” symbol at the bottom of your app's menu bar.

Your appliance can be used without the app. However, only the app will enable you to benefit from the many advantages available when your product is connected.
No. Once the first batch has finished open the grill fully and remove the food. Close the grill and press OK. You do not have to switch off the grill first. When the lights flash again, choose the mode that you want. The preheating phase should be a lot quicker than the first time as the plates will already be hot. When the Optigrill beeps to say it is ready, open the grill again and put the second batch of food on to the plates and continue as normal.
There are 4 temperature levels, as shown by the colour indicator: Green: 110°C (230°F to 257°F) Yellow: 190°C (356°F to 383°F) Orange: 225°C (428°F to 455°F) Red: 270°C (518°F to 545°F)
For safety reasons, this is not possible. The application enables you to program and follow the process of cooking. To start preheating the appliance, you must validat by clicking the OK button of your appliance.
If you have an OptiGrill Smart, check out the additional automatic programmes all year round. Simply synchronise your OptiGrill Smart to your app, update the app and click on news where you will find information on new programmes. Your additional automatic programmes will be available on your app in the cooking guides or specific recipes.
Before cleaning your grill, wait around 45 minutes while the device cools. To remove heavy food residue on the grill plates or on the side, we recommend you use a wooden or plastic spatula. To clean the grill and grill components, use a cloth soaked in hot water. Do not immerse the grill in water. Do not use abbrasive cleaning products or products containing alcohol or fuel since these may damage the device.
The appliance has not been fully opened when placing the food on the grill plates before cooking. Solutions: To allow the appliance to detect the start of the cooking cycle, the appliance must be completely opened before each cooking cycle. If not, the cooking cycle will not start. Completely open the grill then close it and press OK.
After following the instructions in the user manual for starting the appliance, make sure that your electrical socket is working by plugging another appliance. If it still does not work, do not try to dismantle or repair the appliance yourself, instead, take it to an approved repair centre
This may be due to improper cleaning of the cooking plates. We recommend that you pre-wash your cooking plates in the following manner before putting them in the dishwasher to remove any food residue: - Soak the plates in hot water and degreasing dish soap for about 30 minutes, - Scrub both sides of the plate with a sponge or a dish brush, hot water and degreasing dish soap, - Rinse, - Put in the dishwasher.
If you leave the appliance open between 2 cooking cycles it will turn to safety mode and will have to be reset. To ensure the best cooking results, you should not open the appliance for more than 1 minute during cooking cycles. RESET by unplugging it for 2-3 minutes and restart full cooking cycle.
If your food is under 4 mm thick, it is too thin (like bacon slices), it may not be detected. This is not a problem simply press the OK key for confirmation for cooking to start.
You started cooking before preheating had finished. To rectify this: turn off the appliance, remove the food, restart the appliance and then return to the programme selection and wait until preheating has finished before cooking the food. If the problem persists despite adhering to the advice above: the appliance may need to be repaired.
• The grill plates have not been properly placed on the plate hooks and therefore, the sensors cannot correctly detect the food. To rectify this problem, turn off the appliance and allow it to cool down. Then install the cooking plate correctly. • You started cooking food between the plates without preheating. To rectify this: turn off the appliance, remove the food, close the appliance. Turn the appliance back on, select and confirm a programme and wait until preheating has finished. • If the problem persists despite adhering to the advice above: the appliance may need to be repaired.
